Gollum's Riddles

... After running for some time Bilbo splashed into water. Due to the fact he couldn’t swim and he feared the slimy creatures within he did not venture out. Suddenly there was a hiss from beside him. It was old Gollum. He apparently had wanted to eat poor Bilbo. After some negotiating they decided on a riddle game. If Bilbo won then Gollum would show him the way out, but if Gollum won, well let’s just say that the meat would not be wasted. After quite a few Riddles Bilbo says something totally uncalled for. He felt in his pocket and said to himself, "What’s in my pocket". Gollum and I were equally disturbed by this question (for I had picked sides by now).After 3 tries by Gollum he said that he had to get something from his island. After a while Bilbo grew inpatient to go then he heard wailing from Gollum’s island and him saying that it was gone. Finally after a while he came back to Bilbo. Gollum wanted to know what was in his pocketses. Of course the stubborn hobbit refused to answer, and so Gollum came after him. As they ran Bilbo reached into his pocketses and slipped on the ring. At that moment he tripped again. Amazingly Gollum did not see him and kept running, cursing all the way. Seeing how Gollum can see in the dark this can mean only one thing, the Nasty Hobbitses had stolen Gollum’s birthday present and was invisible. Now on top of that he was following Gollum to the way out. Luckily Gollum plopped himself down in the passage to get out, and was listening carefully for any disturbance. Unfortunately when Bilbo jumped over Gollum, Gollum missed him by inches. Finally after slipping through an area with many goblins alerted by the shrieks by Gollum when he got away, Bilbo made it out of the goblin caves.
