week 2 question

This quote has many meanings to it. C.S Lewis seems to be trying to say that literature makes every day life more exiting and interesting. When Lewis says, “it irrigates the deserts that our lives have already become," they are stating that literature makes dry and dull lives more lively.
In The Hobbit C. S. Lewis's quote is very true. This book is a very exciting adventure book that will wipe all of the stress away from work, school, TAXES, and other stressful things.
Along with this if Bilbo Read more books than he might have been more resourceful in the caves with Gullom and his experience might not have been so stressful.
